OK, those of you not into reef aquariums might not think this is all that exciting, but I’ve selected a skimmer for the new tank. A skimmer is the primary piece of equipment used to pull waste from the water, so it’s essential for the aquarium and it’s basically the heart of the filtration system. So I decided on a skimmer from H&S, which is a company over in Germany. The skimmers are kind of hard to get here in the US since the company is not super-well-known, so I’ll have to wait for the next shipment to come over on a boat, which should be sometime in late July or early August. Good things come to those who wait. :-)

Let it be known that I will not WILL NOT clean out the skimmer!!! I offered one time to do this lovely job on the old tank but I have learned my lesson! The skimmer is all yours! Ladies and Gentlemen this is the cleanest the skimmer will ever ever look! When it is all set up it will have lovely fish poop that SMELLS in it! Charis’s poop smells way better than fish poop! Trust me on this one! I am SO excited about the tank though and it will be beautiful! :)

Of course it’s from Germany. Things that come from Germany are especially excellent. ;) I can’t wait to see what fishies you choose! :)
LOVE you guys!

I’m not cleaning it out either. :) Skimmer rhymes with swimmer, and I’m not a very good one. Plus, smelly rhymes with Ellie (even though she’s not…) - but maybe she’d help you out. :)

Can’t wait to see the fish! I’m so glad you guys are getting another tank.
Just call me when it is time to clean the skimmer - I will help! Hee Hee Hee - no hidden motive there at all!
