<description>Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. For me it's about rejoicing in family and friends, and sharing in the basic human needs of food, warmth and (sometimes) lodging. There is a remarkable power in “breaking bread” with loved ones. Although I seldom look forward to that day in late November, as it unfortunately carries the season of conspicuous consumerism, commercialism, and too frequently remarkable selfishness on its tail. Never the less, it is for me the antithesis of latter holiday season and remains the most peaceful and joyful day of the year.
